The BurnsClean system improves the typical incineration operation whether used with two cars or just one.
Caster wheels enable the cars to be easily moved so that loading, cooling, and ash clean out can be done in a convenient area where operators don't have to work inside the chamber. This is significant when working with SRM type contaminated materials. The second car gives operators more time to prepare the next load thus reducing the downtime between cycles.
Maintenance downtime is reduced because routine repairs can be done on one car while the other is in use. The modular design of car refractory allows for greater thermal expansion, less cracking, and easier repair.
